Brooklyn-based artist Spencer Finch will discuss his mixed-media installations, photographs, and drawings that explore the limits of perception. Bringing together a scientific approach and a nuanced sense of poetics, Finch's works call attention to various phenomena of the natural world through his investigations of light and color. Hear about Finch's expansive new installation for the IMA's Efroymson Family Entrance Pavilion, Following Nature, composed of an array of nearly 200 panels of glass suspended from the ceiling in a reinterpretation of Claude Monet's iconic water garden in Giverny, France.
