Keith Emerson and Rod Morgenstein Meet!

This was something cool that happened during the EpiK DrumS - A Ken Scott Collection sessions at Emblem Studios. I was working with Keith Emerson on an upcoming sample library for Sonic Reality and needed to meet with him so after I heard Rod Morgenstein say he was an ELP fan I told Keith to come to the studio to surprise him. The rare moment was captured on video. Hope you like it. @eileenandtom Rod Morgenstein is very much like his bandmate Steve Morse - supremely talented, enthusiastic, and always there to meet/greet his fans. It angers me that his gifts go largely unrecognized by the greater listening public; of course, most (real) musicians are in the same boat. Musicians of his caliber need to be nourished, and it kills me that talents like his have to keep struggling to get heard/make money. Why doesn't Lady Gaga surround herself with guys like Rod?

They talked about a verison of Tarkus on CD with Jordan Rudress that was incredible. I first discovered Ron Morganstein on a CD called IF by the Dixie Dregs by accident. I was getting a new stereo put in my car when the mechanic was playing it. I was like " What is that it sounds cool." I then went out and bought it shortly after. I'm a drummer but as far as keyboardist go I feel the Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman and Jordan Rudress are the most amazing musicians with their talent and creativity.
