@viperxeon same shit here :D

I wish these vocals weren't so...
impossible.
Anders and Chuck Schuldiner: two most amazing and inimitable vocals ever.

@theedaviator They didn't lose anything. Bands change, it happens. There doesn't have to be any selling out or marketing. It just happens. But there definitely won't be anything quite as amazing as this anymore. I swear, just one more album and they will have become a carbon copy of Korn :/

@froggymaniac Yes. He clearly says "word" if you listen closely. A word without a body could be a word without a meaning. If they got it wrong on the album, you would think they would have changed the title on the 2004 deluxe edition..

@theedaviator Yeah, Jesper...

@imperfection32 I find the new lyrics deal more with personal thoughts and struggles where as the old lyrics focused largely on mythology and astrology. Its really a matter of personal preference though, just like all art
I lie in your soothing arms, lord Hypnos
Steep the spiral to your far abode,
in the wake of slumber, on visions I rode
and fell like history through the chasm of ages
into the charged, forbidden zones

@MrEradican actually the title is supposed to be "The New World" it's just wrong name on the album. Do you really think he sings that "the word is still without a body"

@theedaviator id argue the lyric quality has improved, but i agree with everything else
i miss old in flames. Anders letting his vocals rip, twin guitar melodies with underlying rhythym guitar riffs, lyrics about deep issues hidden in metaphors, epic album art...... they lost something along the way
