WARNING! FIX IS ONLY FOR NVIDIA GRAPHICS CARDS
THE FIX IN THIS VIDEO IS PROBABLY OBSOLETE BY NOW CONSIDERING THE UPDATES RELEASED FOR IT, SO IF IT DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU YOU EITHER HAVE AN ATI CARD OR YOUR JUST A STUPID PIRATE WHO CANT FIND THE UPDATES.
a video of me showing you how to make new vegas run properly. the first part of the video was done in 1280x720 and the 2nd part in 1920x1080 so excuse the blurry quality.
INSTRUCTIONS~
1. Download this d3d9.dll http://www39.zippyshare.com/v/16909774/file.html
2. Place in root directory of FO:NV aka where the launcher and game .exe's are.
3. Open the fallout launcher, it should detect your graphics adapter as "NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS" leave that as it is and crank up the graphics to max! (if it doesn't detect right away try closing and opening it again until it does).
4. Launch game and enjoy lag and stutter free gameplay.
5. After fix im able to run new vegas on ultra with vsync and triple buffering forced and it never dips below 40fps.

so, like, I "Cranked the graphics to max" assuming that meant high quality and it did the exact opposite.. Didn't work. Doesn't even work on Low.

what a piece of shit the two fallout games has been. fallout 3 and new vegas are broken beyond belief. they are good games, but I'm not talking about the story or the gameplay. Im talking about the annoying things that makes it unplayable. My computers usually cost 3000 to 4000 dollars to build every 2 or 3 years and it can't run a fallout game without problems. Stutter, jumpy map loads ect. The incredible thing is that with new vegas they managed to make it worse!.
