I learned to fly on reeds which was not proportional, but it gave 3 controls, but only one could be used at a time. I flew single channel on a Mattel pulse proportional system also.
Great video!!! watching this has inspired me to build my own single channel aircraft just for something different! I have brought my self an Ben Buckle Diamond Demon and found a Macgregor Minimac single channel set with Elmic escapement on Ebay. Hope i have as much success as you show in the video!!!
Ah, that takes me back. I started RC with an old single-channel super-regen radio system. The only thing older and ricketier than that RC system was the power-zoom on that camera though -- I could hear it clunking away throughout the whole video (ha ha). Nice vid, thanks for sharing.
