I'm not surprised at the negative comments, because if you are not a musician or work in performance, you aren't aware these things happen to everyone, all the time, even Bruce and Bono.I work for these musicians in particular, and they're all friends, especially Patti and Bruce. She did not "mess up," her monitors were feeding back, disabling her from hearing herself.There were only positive feelings on the stage, and they were all understanding, and so happy to have been able to play together.

Bruce did not "co-write" this song, he wrote the friggin thing and then gave it to Patti, who changed a few words and named herself a co-writer. Get your facts straight people, this is a Bruce song.

y@NYCblueberry...I don't know what the hell a "muso" is, but Patti is not a studio singer, she is a seasoned live performer. I am a vastly experienced and educated musician myself, and I can understand what happened to her...she could hear the piano arpeggio, perhaps, at the beginning but was unable to discern where the downbeat and tonic note was...must've been a monitor problem. Could happen to anyone...

Springsteen is in my opinion the great songwriter of all time. Bit of a debatable topic yes but I think he is the best out of everyone.
