A small saccadic persistence-of-vision display inspired by Bill Bell's exhibit at the Exploratorium, a hands-on science museum in San Francisco. Unlike most POVs which move the LEDs to form an image, a saccadic display is stationary, relying instead on fast eye movements. This has the unsettling effect that you can only see the image by NOT looking directly at it. Made from an FTDI USB-to-serial bridge (in bitbang mode) and a heap of 74HC595 shift registers and LEDs.
