[ The Mask is a 1994 American superhero film based on a series of comic books published by Dark Horse Comics. This film was directed by Chuck Russell, and produced by Dark Horse Entertainment and New Line Cinema, and originally released to movie theatres on July 29, 1994. The film stars Jim Carrey as Stanley Ipkiss (also known as The Mask) and also features Peter Greene, Amy Yasbeck, Peter Riegert, Jim Doughan, Richard Jeni, Orestes Matacena, Ben Stein, and Cameron Diaz in her film debut. Carrey was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. ]

They don't make movies like these anymore... Everytime I watch The Mask, I nearly wet myself laughing like a maniac. That hardly happens on new comedy flicks. Maybe a laugh or a giggle, but nothing hysterical laugh enducing.
Jim Carrey is the best!
