There's a lot in shelters.
I would go there first before splurging on a cat.
That way, you're saving a life as well.

my cats were in my kitchen when i accidentally dropped some catnip on the floor. My cat ran over and began rolling all over and having a >:3 face. it was cute

@metalmusiclifex My old cat Agatha (I don't have her anymore) was from a shelter. She was a day away from being put down because no one wanted her.
And the cat I have now, her name is Ichigo, and we got her from a shelter, too. I've never had such an affectionate cat. :)

@Meridianbengals is that a savannah? lol jk. idk how ppl can ask the same qestion over and over. bengals are petty cool but mine lost a tooth and sounded like she was slurping whipped cream every time she licked herself. was hard to sleep.

I've found that a large leaf of catnip can become a bit of a toy in and of itself. I gave my cat a two-inch wide leaf (homegrown, of course) and she started flailing at it. The sheer amount of energy it took her to break the leaf up ended up exhausting her for the day. That's a win-win scenario for me! :D

Wow is that a Savannah? Beautiful cats! My cat gets no reaction from catnip, I have no idea why :(
