First, a rebroadcast of a conversation with Kurt Masur, the conductor and musical director of the New York Philharmonic, about his 75th birthday at the Lincoln Center Festival, marking his last performance in New York. He also discusses his role as the conductor of the London Philharmonic (from May 21, 2002). Then, a rebroadcast of a conversation with opera soprano Beverly Sills about resigning as Chair of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Sills also discusses her brilliant career and administration of the New York Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera and the New York City ballet (from April 29, 2002).
