  • What a great interview! Thanks!

  • Thank you for keeping it real because that is my style and I am taking on a long term sub position for 6th grade reading. You were very helpful in making me feel that I don't have to do silly gimmicky ways to manage the class! I already feel more confident in my natural style and instincts to address my class! :)

  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  • Thank you for this video! I teach 150 6,7, & 8th grade students a FCS class called - "Careers in Fashion & Interior Design" - needless to say - there are many challenges that come with teaching such a mixture of grades during one class period - I've been using the bell this quarter and it is SO much more effective than "hollering" - we have to "clean up" on a daily basis since we are sewing - it is quite a challenge to get them to PICK UP AFTER THEMSELVES! I also use the "5" technique..

  • Thank you for posting this video. I found this video to be very useful. I like the idea of keeping a routine so the students always know what is coming up next and there is no surprises. I also like the “my class in 5” technique, I think for a sixth grade class this is a perfect technique and it alerts the class that it is the teachers time now. I also found it informative to change the seats every quarter. These are all helpful techniques to better manage a classroom. Thanks!

  • Wow very informative. I'm planning to be MS Science. Knowing how to get their attention and keep them focused is very important. I like the routine management part. Its always helpful to know whats next, both for the teacher and for the student. That way it doesnt look like your fumbling. More fluid transitions.

  • This is wonderful can I use this in my classroom

  • Excellent interview, though it seems that having good students makes your job easier.
