1970 Baby Driver

In 1970 4 kids made a 3-minute video for their Gr9 class at North Saanich school in Sidney, BC (west coast of Canada).
The shortest kid is Rick Bailey, he's the one driving the red van. The one in the striped shirt is Terry Erickson. Reed Pumple is the one wearing the black sweater and the striped pants, and Richard Thuillier is the one with red hair.
28 frames per second, shot in Super8, with a combination of straight film and animation. Music is by Paul Simon, called Baby Driver. All 4 were 15 at the time.
Unfortunately Rick died at 20 in a car accident, and Terry died at 25. This is dedicated to them.

Too Cool! Big, Big fan of Simon & Garfunkel and the video reminds me so much of my 1970 world in Edmonton, Alberta, CA. Really sorry to hear some of guys passed on so young as with some of my family & friends. Very neat reminder of a passing era.

It was filmed on Bayfield Rd. in north Saanich, just across the street from the Bailey's house.

Hi, no it was done in 1971 or so, in Sidney BC. Nothing to do with Paul Simon, except they chose this song to go with the video they made.
