Graphics and Animation Assignment 01

This is the first of two assignments for the graphics and animation module. The brief is to create a mesh using 3D Studio Max of Lego bricks and use them to construct a scene. The brief also requires lighting and matrix transformation via camera movements.

This video represents my submission for this assignment. Modifications included:
* added materials which were picked at random by DirectX
* added occlussion culling (toggable by the user)
* changed lights to include 1 directional and 3/4 point lights
* pause/resume introduced and reset function improved
* FPS counter
* removed input from user apart from those mentioned above

The occlusion culling proved to be interesting as when it was used with meshes with no materials it was a significant performance hit. However when I created meshes with materials it proved to be beneficial in some renders and no difference in others.

Please note that the performance is considerably better than that represented in the video - this is due to the frame rate capture of HyperCam.
