1. For the first 3 months ALWAYS wear you retainers
2. Take them out when you eat, chew gum or drink colored drinks and put them in your case
3. Clean them properly at least 2 times a day
4. you will get used to them after a week so dont worry.

@mayrocks7 my haven't broken yet. I dont think they are that fragile and i grind my teeth at night too. i guess you just have to be careful

i am gettin mine in 3 days ;( some of mi friends havin retainers mumble when they talk, does everyone who has retainers mumble when they talk? or is it just some do and some dont? i am so worried :(

@mimistudios when you first get them on ya you do have a mini lisp/ mumble lol but after a little while you should get used to it.
