@Filligan Macro mode is where the lens can focus on things very close to the camera (a few inches).

@Max22 Jesus Christ, that's a tiny little thing. I guess size no longer matters where cameras are concerned. Actually that'd be a cute handy thing. What's macro mode?

@Filligan Basically, whatever kind of camera you're interested in, just search for the make and model on YouTube, because there'll probably be a bunch of videos of people demoing and reviewing the video/audio quality

@Filligan The Kodak Zi8. It's basically identical to the Kodak Playsport ZX3, except mine has Macro mode and the ZX3 is waterproof.
However, a quick Google showed me that Kodak JUST released a new model of the Playsport, the ZX5, which is waterproof WITH an auto macro mode, AND has a bigger screen. (But it is missing the Zi8's microphone port and free proprietary HDMI cable)
