@TheJohnlennongirl Hey there! I actually don't know the specific reason for the scene being edited for tv but your guess could be spot on. I had just assumed that since someone hanging themselves, even as a joke and especially when its a kid/teenager, is pretty graphic the tv networks choose to keep that part out of the boradcast. Maybe they thought other kids would try to play this joke on their parents in real life and end up actually hurting or killing themselves?

@ilovethegoldengirls Hi! I could be wrong about this but my guess is that around this time period I remember a lot of information began to circle the airwaves of the teenagers using a new way of getting sexual gratification and that was to briefly hang themselves!!! Unfortunately for a great many, many teenagers and older have died by this ritual. That is my personal, educated guess. If I am wrong please let me know the correct answer. I loved all Roseanne shows without question however, her Halloween shows were her funniest of all I think. :)  I still adore Roseanne all these years later in 2011.

They never show the Darlene hanging scene when the show airs on tv. Strange ... without that scene the one where she *agrees* to help Jackie get Roseanne in the Halloween spirit for $20 makes no sense.
