The lonely "Man In The Moon" pines about his existence while the Balalaika gently weeps its mournful sounds.

Diesel Bodine: Composer, Vocals, Balalaika, Acoustic Guitar, Upright Bass, Tambourine, Djembe and Guiro

"THE MAN IN THE MOON" lyrics

In the darkest hours of the night
When the Great Horned Owls take to flight
As the bitter cold of Winter settles in

Got a stone cold look out in space
Hiding tears that roll down his face
240 thousand miles away

He has a dream... of gettin' closer
To be more than just that ageless relic
Glowin' bright in the Harvest Sky
On you and I

On a vigil through eons of time
If his stories were set forth in rhyme
What an epical tale of disaster he could pine

By his light endless lovers embrace
Without a thank you kiss to his face
240 thousand miles away

He has a dream... of gettin' closer
To be more than just that ageless relic
Glowin' bright in the Harvest Sky
On you and I

He has a dream... of gettin' closer
To be more than just that ageless relic
Glowin' bright in the Harvest Sky
On you and I... on you and I

  • What can I say. Its a good job Im a nice person or I might get jealous of your talent. I think talent should be spread out more among the less fortunate. Like George W(Wazak - Thats Yorkshire talk) Bush or Tony (lack of flair) Blair. - Do you think I have a problem with these two, I can't stop bringing them into comments? Great Vid. I don't know how you do it - terrific imagination.

  • Why Andy, you have plenty of talent... we all would love another Sax video! 8-)

  • One coming up soon (in a week or two when I get a little more time) just for you, a brand new bebop composition and this time played on my beloved 1934 Conn 6m sax - you will love it.

  • Looking forward to it, Andy! Yes indeed! 8-)

  • Thanks for getting closer. Warm, full & textured - glowing reviews! ;O)

  • Hi Wild Honey! Ah, some mellow stuff mixed in to show I haven't gone completely whacko as with some of my other new video ideas. 8-)

  • haha I thought this was about the movie the man in the moon.

  • For someone who just used it a few times that is amazing. But then again you have real talent and you could probably use spoons, tin cans, or anything and turn them into a musical instrument LOL Seriously.

  • Hi Rhonda... this was an attempt at using a Balalaika a friend of mine gave me. I've used it a few times. It has a different sound than the Guitar. 8-)

  • Hey you look awesome without your glasses! Very beautiful tune. Thanks again for another winner!
