God forbid we protect our country. We are to busy invading the Middle-East for oil. Why spend the money at home, Halliburton needs 100's of Billions of our money. We have no money for a fence, but we can borrow 3-billion a week for Irag. It's Okay, because Bush is Jesus and he just trying to convert the Muslims at gunpoint. TV preachers agree.

You are so right on the money. Funny how the MSM ignores the fact that it was a "bi-partisan bill" till it went down in flames, then it was the Republicans' fault yet more Democrats voted against it than Republicans.

Just making them all "legal" will not solve the problem. It goes much deeper. Just look at England, Sweden, Norway, all the countries that are being DESTROYED by riots, fires, bombings, just total disregard for any laws. Don't let it happen here. ENFORCE LAWS!!! Deport illegals now!

If the Democrats stuck together thy would have had enough votes for cloture, given the number of Republicans that voted with them.

Your facts are quite misleading. The reality is that 12 out of 49 republicans voted for cloture, while 35 democrats voted for cloture. 12 vs. 35...hhhmmm i think the democrats did their fair share, it was up to the republicans to support their president!

You're wrong, it is up to members of Congress to support their constituents. There was nothing misleading in what I reported. If the Dems hold together there were more than enough Republican votes to pass the bill.
