Pot hasn't led me to hard drugs, nor makes me crave alcohol or cigarettes, which kill countless people. Cannabis is used to cure cancer, kill pain, ease mental anxiety, heal intestinal ailments and help prevent blindness from glaucoma.

The biggest gateway to substances has been my own curiosity. I am accountable. People who blame pot on using hard drugs also blame their friends if they become an alcoholic. These are people with a low sense of who are they are and cave in easy to peer pressure in general

Legalizing weed for recreational use as well as medical use will not increase drug use in the same way making alcohol illegal in the days of prohibition only made its use increase. People will use what they want to use whether it is legal or not. Doctors who prescribe cannabis for medicinal use have seen cases of paranoia decrease once cannabis use was legalized, therefore removing fear of arrest and snuffing out the stigma of its use. People who do not worry about what others think tend to be less paranoid in general.

Ganja used to be prescribed by doctors until the early 1930s. It was well known for its potent ability to kill pain, foster a sense of well being and ease anxiety. The body actually produces cannabinoids and is apart of the endocrine system helping regulate metabolism, create a sense of well being and help balance the fertility system. This is called your endocannabinoid system.

There have been no documented cases of death due to marijuana use from the herb. However, a synthetic pharmaceutical drug was created to mimic cannabis to replace it once it became illegal. Big Pharma and Unlce Sam realized they could not patent a plant. So, Big Pharma made an inferior, synthetic version and this prescriptive became big business by instilling a man-made version in pill form to replace the natural herb. People have died from this prescriptive drug and it is still prescribed to this day. It does not have the healing virtues of cannabis.

Modern science shows that marijuana cures cancer by shrinking tumors. Furthermore, science also indicates that people who smoke pot have lower cases of mouth, throat, esophagus and lung cancer. Outdated research that once said smoking weed kills brains cells withheld relevant information. They gave lab monkeys equivalent to 60 joints through a gas mask within only 5 minutes, everyday, for 3 months. They suffocated. Years ago a similar experiment was done on rabbits with cigarette smoke, but they died in a very short period.

Cigarettes and alcohol kill countless people and are legal, available in most stores across the world. Marijuana has killed no one. Can you say the same about pharmaceuticals? People who fear pot likely have never tried it and cringe at the thought of their children smoking reefer, but yet they push pills called medicine on their own children. They trust pill pushing quacks they call "doctors" and shun harmless nature derived cures. It is concerning how many parents encourage and push pills onto their own children which cause suicidal tendencies and violent outbursts as side effects to something they call psyche meds. Hmmm. It's a brave new world and the stupid become even more brain dead the further they go away from nature.

I have lost much faith in mankind as he blindly follows the faith of doctors as if they are Gods, without questioning the fact these doctors have stock in the "medicine" they prescribe and are offered incentives from lobbyist from the manufactures who push pills like candy to children. The world's largest bio-human experiment is being done on mankind and he freely allows it without question, eating from the hands of Big Pharma and trusting in the system that only sees him as a cash cow.

People do not question the doctors anymore than why they still circumcise babies. What was once an archaic religious practice has now become cock fashion. Much like the trend of taking designer pills by the most conservative, straight laced house wife who says she'd never take "drugs". It is far more sophisticated to get legally tanked through the family doctor than the thug off the street.

Designer pills and many other dangerous addictive prescriptives command high dollar on the street. Some vanilla high class types bash the street thug for pushing drugs, but yet run to their doctor for a legal prescription of the very drugs many die from on the street. Many are highly addictive, just like alcohol, and can die from withdrawal just as they can from over dose.

Vanilla types who bash marijuana are also the same ones who run to get addictive psyche meds at the first sign of stress. They are the same ones who push it on their own children, but would ground them for enjoying weed to ease anxiety. They are the same parents who act like being hyper active is a disorder instead of recognizing children have much energy and are under challenged, and so they push pills to keep them compliant as to keep them manageable.

  • Look, a person like you, and I agree with you by the way, can make all the theoretical implications that they want about how Marijuana is actually good for you. Whether it is or it is not at all the issue at hand whatsoever. The issue is that in a free and democratic society I should have the freedom to put whatever the hell I want in my own body without government interference. This is the very definition of freedom of which I am supposedly entitled to. What a joke NA is.

  • @AnimeAdept yes, you are soooooo correct. even if it were like arsenic we should decide for ourselves. same thing with raw milk...fuck, even uncle sam wants to choose that for us! i only bring up the bennies of reefer to help bring awareness to it's medicinal value. and our body does produce cannabinoids as part of our endocrine system.

  • damm ur realy stupid

  • @dutchiedrown Oh, golly oh gee, I hope I don't lose sleep over your ueseless comment. ;-) I'd rather be a pot head than a shit head. Thanks for "voting". • @DiaShanti Actually, booze and cigarettes are generally listed alongside marijuana as gateway drugs. And while I understand that your case may have been different, I think statistics would show that most hard substance users did indeed start out with cigs and booze and pot. It's extremely rare for an abstinent non-smoker (of anything) to dive right into DMT. I don't think that there's anything wrong with gateway drugs, but I do believe that MJ is one.

  • @DiaShanti I would love to tell you more about it, my e-mail is gamcf#ymail.com "GAMCF stands for Georgia Mediacal Cannabis Front" Just send me an e-mail saying this is me and I will reply with what I am doing and what we stand for.. Hope to hear from you soon neighbor.

  • @NWG92 I don't think you're a prick at all. Now, I'm the curious type. I've tried about most substances that were presented. That is how I am wired. Speed was presented to me before reefer and so I tried speed. Had pot had been introduced first, I would have tried pot first. So in my case, speed was a "gateway" to Mary Jane? I didn't need a mini baby step into trying heavier drugs. I did whichever drugs were presented "just to see" for myself. Had heroine been presented first, well...

  • @DiaShanti (2 of 2) I agree with you about the curiosity, but I just think you aren't suspending your bias enough to accept that marijuana is definitely a gateway to other drugs. I've used other substances in the past, as have many of my friends, and none of us would have had the courage to try something a bit riskier had we not dabbled in simpler stuff like MJ. Hopefully I haven't come across as too much of a prick, as that's not at all my intention.
