This is a 1936 GE Model E-61 tombstone radio. It's all original except for a few tubes. It plays very well - I have even picked up Beijing, China on the shortwave band. This video was made after sundown at 7:15 p.m. so some of the weaker local stations have lowered their transmission output. It's a great radio to pick up WJIB Sunday afternoons for their Big Bands and Crooners hour. If you like old radios like I do I hope you enjoy this video.

  • Very cool to see one working well. I have a 36' Philco cathedral that I am refurbishing. And I have a 48' Zenith AM/FM that is working great. I love the old classic radios. Nothing will ever replace them.

  • You both are doing great with the videos! Love you both, B )
