version trés différente de celle de Vivaldi, pourtant, on ressent la même profondeur dans le texte et dans la manière de la chanter, des chants les plus spiritueux qu 'il soit.
@rubyedelman It's not actually wobbling, it's a trill. If you look at the score, she's only singing all the trills and gracenotes marked by the composer as ornaments to the vocal line. This is also not supposed to be bel canto singing - Pergolesi is much earlier than Rossini or other bel canto period composers.
@bf2019 Vivica is always working something because she likes 180 notes per minute or so, so it is hard to not do something with the Legato.....for those actually able to "Worble" their Vibrato....hehe, and actually use it as an Ornament...(listen to all who need to understand Vibrato as an Ornament) I find it personally very beautiful,...however obviously some find it unbearable....so there we are...................................
@rubyedelman Actually "Worbling" which drives people crazy.. is a form of ornamentation. It's called Modulating the Vibrato :compressing the air column as you swing vibrato on the vocal chords. She's doing it Intentionally, and she's doing it much more @1:19, 1:27, 1:30, 1:34 than the 2:56 & 3:02 (she's doing a bit @ 3:02 but it's mostly straight Vibrato)."Worbling" was once considered the most beautiful ornament, particularly in Legato singing, but times change, just as so called "opera sound"

maybe this wobbling sound is considered a good example of bel canto singing ?? I don't understand it....it is vulgar and non-professional. Yes, and I don't care if many 'professionals' consider it professional....it is ugly, extremely ugly 2:56, 3:02
das Faszinierende an beiden Sängerinnen ist, dass sie sich gegenseitig zuhören ,was diese so schwierigen partien hier so einfach erscheinen lässt. es ist in allem eine brilliante interpretation des gesamten stabat mater.
