I think we should ban guns so that criminals can't commit violent crimes anymore.

I think we should ban Cocaine and Heroine too. Wait, we already did ban that stuff and it is still on every street corner of big cities. How could this be? We banned it and it is still out there?

@varmintslayer1 guns dont kill people, people kill people. All iligal drugs should be made legal. The only reason alot of this drugs are iligal is because the prisons in America are privately owned and they make a profit from people going to jail. I dont think the issue is guns or drugs. Everything is about money now

Ban it USA it's a major problem in your country.. After the masscre in Port Arthur in the 1990's our govt changed all the gun laws rules and regulations & even offered cash for peoples firearms....

Swing and a miss soldier lol. The constitution doesn't say "the right to bear arms as long as its for the military". It says "right to bear arms". You're living in a fantasy land, where you make a national ban on guns and they're all gone. They got these ppl called ARMS DEALERS. You can buy a 9mm on the streets for 150 bucks. Criminals would have guns, and ppl wouldn't have any protection. Plus if enemy soldiers invaded America the ppl defend against them too.

No actually it still does. Tyranny from the government can be prevented if it occurs and that is what keeps the government in check. Not only does the 2nd Amendment protects an individuals right to own firearms it also hints at a right to defend yourself. What is the most efficient way of protecting yourself? Guns.

You need to read the Federalist Papers, you know, the explainations of each amendment. The 2nd is not so that we have an Army, its so that if the Fed. Gov. becomes tyrranical, we can over throw it. There is still a Fed Gov so the 2nd Amendment still applies.
