still don't get why they only allowed 480i recording, I guess that means they put a less powerful video sensor in the Nexus, which would then be one of the hardware differences between the devices.

@Phar2Rekliss I never understood that, either. If the Galaxy S series all have 720p video, why doesn't the Nexus S have that? Strange.

Hi Bob! Thanks for making this smackdown. I just got back from the Sprint store and am now debating between the Nexus S (4G with Sprint) and the Epic 4G. Watching your reviews really helps in giving me things to consider in making a decision (ahh decisions decisions). Will have to think some more, but thanks again for the great review!

Should I get the Nexus S or the Samsung Epic 4G? My upgrade is soon and i cant decide.

I like how the Nexus S looks and gets faster updates but the like the Samsung Epic 4G app menu looks and the slide out keyboard.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@PrincessOTFH It all boils down to whether you want a physical keyboard or not. The keyboard on the Epic is one of the nicest but it definitely adds bulk and weight. I don't know how you use a phone, so it's hard to say which you will prefer.

well from what I have gathered the only reason the EPIC is getting lower scores is because of the 2.1 software and older data reading capabilies of the older kernel. if you were able to update the EPIC to 2.3 software it will get the SAME numbers becuase they have the SAME chips and designs of the internal hardware. there is no differences between them other than the keyvboard.
