  • Regardless of your "years in the industry" you clearly have not got a grip on what "improvisation" means. The idea is NOT to 'do it again stroke for stroke'. Please remember, music is a LANGUAGE. When you're having a conversation with a friend, do you pull out your 10 most 'well-rehearsed' responses? Of course not. You react to the mood/content of the dialogue. This is what a great jazz improviser does. Jason Bittner and Joey Jordison are damned PARROTS. Repeat, repeat, repeat. wow.....

  • Bill's talent doesn't lie in Portnoy-sized sets with hitting things really fast. It lies in taking a very simple tune and playing with it, not over it, to change it. Listen to how many ways he interprets and expresses that simple riff in less than a minute.

  • what is the name of this theme?

  • @myusskyuss The "good Yes"? Implying Alan White is any less skilled? You fail.

  • besides the nice bb's performance like the quality of the video, what vidcamera is used? not bad comparin to others cams

  • lol is this supposed to be impressive?

  • HE DOESNT HAVE AS MANY TOnal varieties as he used to have on previous kits... I really miss that

  • i always knew the drummer in "the good Yes" was bad ass it just took danny carey saying he was his favorite for me to connect the dots.

  • does anyone know the line up? piano, sax, (no bass?), ?

  • @1994AlmostSkater

That wasnt jazz it was more of a Latin music type.

  • Is that Ian Ballamy on sax?
