Sound-suit

A movement-controlled audio generation/manipulation system, built from scratch. Translates gestures and dance into sound. Built/recorded 2005.

This project is currently shelved while I increase my electromechanical fabrication skillz. Eventually, I will tackle this project again and make it more rugged and also more expressive.

i see the harmonics taking place but how do you change pitches/frequencies?

Heya- thanks for the kind words.

This older project uses a set of rotary switches on the fingers to change pitch. Variable resistors on the wrists and elbows control filtering/feedback.

I have plans for a new version that'll sound better and be more durable, but nothing solid yet.

ive had an idea like this for a little under a year and have been studying acoustics hardcore...are you selling this "suit" buy any any chance?
