A better idea is not make them so big.maybe 15-20 ft tall.and making the mech able to jump using a combo of leg piston like jumps with the aid of rocket thrusters.if tuned well,if the meck could jump 50-100 feet in a matter of seconds,a mech could destroy tanks and helicopters with ease.just jump and land on top of the tanks and crush them.jumping from tank to tank.and give it a sword about 12-15ft long that weighs bout 10-15 tons,it could take a copter out in 1 leap.

You're right, i saw this the other day and thought it was a force field, but it's actually an interceptor. The "bubble" is a field of detection and the point of interception. This device shoots a projectile at the oncoming missile's trigger/nose - you can clearly see it in the video, and you can understand it by the underhanded language/doublespeak they are using.
