If you pair only to Apple TV, you don't need to buy other stuff since both have WiFi built in, you have only to buy an adapter for Windows PCs without WiFi

omg.. i want apple tv, i downloaded the remote software just for the itunes library on my computer, i think this app would be great for parties! even if you just had a surround sound system to your computer.
love it!

Yes you do need a wifi network. Which is kind of cool since you can be in practically any room in your house and the remote will work.
