@WELLMARKsm freshwater tank then, I was in the same place you are, I had $300, wanted a salt water, but realized i didn't have enough so I bought a freshwater tank, I got a 55 gallon kit for about 100 then my decoration, sand, and live plants for about another 150, then I had plenty of money left over for fish, 50 for freshwater fish goes way farther than 50 for saltwater fish. Some saltwater fish go for up to 100 sometimes...

@newmabreu96 Actually, by providing a safe habitat for these fish and other aquatic life, he is insuring their survivel, increasing there likely hood to mate, and preventing them from being eaten by predators. so If you are going to go tell someone to go burn in hell, it should be you for being so closed minded.

Most Specific saltwater dealers don't know what they are talking about either. They just want to get their product sold. I can tell you some Horror stories of some SO CALLED advice these sales idiots have given me. NOT to mention hundreds of dollars lost. If only i could have just 1)research online. 2)gone through a couple of videos of "Average Joe" people who have tried and proved the best way. And 3) started out small then worked my way up, i could have saved myself a huge Head Ache.
