karate master? no he had the style "JKD ( jeet kune do) ,Also known as the style of no style .

This is the original form of kick boxing not karate this is more brutal. Karate comes in a more cleaner and faster fashion.

yup...as I already said, he studied other arts, but he certainly didn't approve of karate even if he learnt it. This is stated in many of his books and videos. To be specific he actually learnt Tai Chi first before moving onto Kung Fu (or Gung Fu to be more exact) exchanging lessons from Yip Man in return for Cha Cha lessons.

Anyway, point is, he wasn't a "karate master" even if he was great at it!
