(Bruce Lee hated Karate, being a Japanese art and not "real combat" friendly. Karate of course being taught by and to the Japanese military. Bruce Lee was a master of the Chinese Kung Fu, and his own art Jeet Kune Do, although he did practice other arts, as well as ballet to improve his skills)
greghell partially rite bruce lee first pratice wing chun under yip man and he studied all arts including kung Fu, karate, muay thai& western boxing and developed jeet kune do
I took Krav Maga and it is almost similar to muay thai in striking and basic low kick wise. And krav maga does not compete in fighting match because it focuses on surviving and keep moving on to next target or attacker. Both are good martial arts to learn. I would take Krav Maga if you are looking for getting into Fed or local law enforcement. useful stuff, 100 times better than crappy as TKD
