The liberal left constantly tries to make Christianity and Islam appear equal, and now even some self-styled Christians are giving the impression they believe that. Well, Islam and Christianity just aren't equal!

@RealCatholic: some interpret catechism as Muslim=moral equivalent. Please explain: The Church formally teaches "many elements of sanctification and of Truth found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church" (CCC #819). (CCC #84...1): "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the 1st place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."

@lauermar The Muslims acknowledge a single creator God. Beyond that, they get virtually everything wrong. The plan of salvation includes them, but that does not mean Islam is salvific. God plans that all men be saved - and those who know that God is one and created the universe have a headstart on polytheistic pagans etc. Still, they need to come to Catholic truth to have normative salvation; they simply have a headstart advantage, not the full truth.

In the Bible, we are warned of many antichrists. Who are these antichrists? 1 John 2:22 "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." The quran denies the Father and the Son.

The quran has verses about the sword and jihad and this is suppose to be the Word of God. Muhammad is a false prophet resulting in 1.8 billion or so antichrists.

Radical Islam is not the exception to Islam as Moderate Muslims are deemed the rule by our PC world. It is Moderate Muslims that are the exception to the whole. Islam from its inception has been violent. Muslims also have a Master Slave relationship to God as Christians have a Father Sonship relation, which would you rather have?

@TheAugustine17 All of which one does not disagree with, but which STILL does not mean "explicit" - which would mean saying "I want to become Catholic"; if one does not know about the Catholic Church one cannot say that but one can show desire for the truth. One can show desire for a thing even if one cannot name it, or name the method of getting it.

@TheAugustine17 If we recieve and desire it in good will, but have no knowledge of the truth of the Church (eg. we have been told nothing of the Church or what we have been told is lies or distorted) then we will not be led to formal membership or an explicit desire to be a literal member of her, as we won't know of it. We are led towards truth if we are honest in receiving it, but we cannot be brought to explicit membership if we don't know of it.

@TheAugustine17 Very true. However, you would be able to take (for example) the patty out and grill it up. It would give you some sustenance, but would lack the balanced meal with vegetables and the bun etc. and it would not taste very good. You MIGHT be able to survive on it, but it cannot be recommended and the normal understanding is that just eating hamburger patties without anything else will not sustain your life.

@Jugglable Apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, & the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception are all about the Revelation of Our Lord Jesus. The Immaculate Conception teaches that it was Mary's destiny to become the Mother of the long-awaited Messiah, & Mary's appearances in various parts of the world are because she is the Mother of all who profess face in the Lord Jesus Christ(Rev. chater 12, verse 17).
