Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp founded Farm Aid in 1985 and serve on the board of directors. The three agreed that family farmers were in dire need of assistance and decided to plan a concert for America.

Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's Board of Directors in 2001 to help further Farm Aid's mission of keeping family farmers on their land.

I remember hearing Alice's Restaurant back in 1968 in High School...and 45 years later... it never really goes out of style...and thank God that Arlo is still with us.

First hurt an old boy sing this at church camp at hunt Texas called Mo. Ranch. I loved it I learned to hate cumiya [SP?] they could not play an still love this song but when I took my daughter to the same church camp an they played Cunmy ya had to walk out .

You just have a few problems. Arlo didn't perform at Cain's, but at the Old Lady on Brady. I WAS there. You weren't "backstage" at Cain's, because there IS no backstage at the Cain's. I was at the Brady taking photos for Jim Halsey, the promoter. Remember him? Send me your e-mail, and I'll get your snail-mail and send you 8X10 photographs of the concert you didn't attend.

Not a better song writer/ story teller, best concert I ever saw at Cain's in Tulsa, Ok Alice's Restaurant and Motorcycle !We all sang along with Arlos, a friend played front band for Chuck Berry and I was yelling "Play My Ding a Ling!!!!back stage Then I had a lung surgeon named Chuck Berry in 2006, couldn't play My Ding a Ling, what a rip off, pain and no singing or playing with my ding a ling!! I'd rather be in Jail with Arlo for littering... Love you Arlo wonder back to Tulsa sometime.
