@ranjithkan Thanks Ranjith after sometime, Yes this song was a hit, the other song was "Minisamai Lowa Deviyan Wanne" from the same movie.

I have the movie, but the clips are not clear.

The story was very interesting, Its like how two brothers are sharing one wife. I think for the sake of wealth.

I have waited so long for this classic. Thanks so much for uploading and I already feel it is Vesak though its 4 days to go. Beautiful music and singing!

I can visualize the actual scenes of the film. Its a pity you have not got the film clip too.

Thanks for yr lovely comments, Yes I uploaded this for Wesak. Even in 70's the film was released for Wesak.

We had a tough time while dubbing Baig masters voice, as he writes the words in Tamil to sing.

Rocky was not satisfied with Baig Masters Pronunciations, and we had to take 14 takes. Rocky finally decided to bring Karu Abeysekera to help Baig Master in the words.

We spent nearly 20 hours the Studio only for song dubbing. Rocky and Karu were perfectionist .

@palithabatu Well Palitha what can I say? 20hrs in the studio and the outcome as Shuaib said cannot be other than a gem.

I always feel this song/music/singing all have that siripada travelling feeling.

Thanks very much for this clip that I too have waited so long. The movie was released in 1978... what a voice what a song ! It is interesing to read your comments about Baig's accent etc ... with all the 20 or hours struggling to record this the outcome was finally a gem of a song !!!
