Rachel shows you the best way to clean and maintain your aquarium or fish tank the right way. This includes how much of a water change you should do, an easy way to remove algae from the sides of the tank, the use of water conditioner and aquarium salt, changing filters and tips on using suction tube or siphon to clean the gravel. Fresh water fish do require a certain amount of salt in the water to be healthy. This is the easiest way to clean your tank correctly so that your pet fish stay healthy and happy and dont get sick.

  • well i just started a saltwater tank 3 months ago and before that i had freshwater fish for years and didn't run into as many problems as i did in only those 3 months as in the 10 years of doing freshwater. whats better? there's no such thing... saltwater is definitely more difficult and definitely not the same as freshwater. i am enjoying my saltwater tank now much more then i did with freshwater, because of the biodiversity you can expect in a saltwater tank, and the fish are gorgeous

  • @TheEyeOfASheikah golden chinese algae eaters are great at removing algae, however once the source is no longer available they go after your fish, in particular their body slime. but besides that, i recommend them more then plecos..even though they do a fair job.
