A wavy-edged circle of glass is cut from a sheet of Bullseye Glass Co. streaky glass. The glass is a mix of White, Orange Opal and Deep Forest Green. This mix of colors works well as a mountain background. A second layer of clear glass is added. The clear glass is cut into various slices, to create an overlaid semi-random pattern. The glass is fused and then slumped through a hand made drop ring.

Thanks to koderunner for the guitar music!

  • @maltuzar I've used this low fire ceramic clay to make a flower type shape, by pouring crushed glass into the clay shape and then fusing it. I then slumped the glass over a different mold. It is done in my "how to make fused and slumped recycled glass - alocasia lamp" video. I've never cast a figurine. For something that detailed and 3 dimensional, you may want to use kiln casting. Warmglass has a good summary of kiln casting here: warmglass . com/kiln_casting . htm

  • Can you use the same type clay to make a casting of lets say a figurine and then use that mold to slump glass?

  • @GlassyARTmuse The glass is Bullseye White, Orange, Deep Green Streaky - 90 COE from bullseyeglass . com

I've bought a bunch of their streaky glass color options and it's all beautiful!

  • Very pretty glass, is that 90 Coe? 96? May I ask ?

  • @Alorse10 I used low fire clay for the slumping ring. I've been liking the wavy edges lately, so I cut wavy edges into it after it was fired. If I were to make the ring again, then I would shape the soft wet clay with wavy edges before firing it.

  • What material did you use for the slumping ring?
