Jessica's brother Lamar absolutely detested her relationship and subsequent marriage to Duncan. But he never stopped being Jessica's strongest supporter. As usual, Lamar tells Duncan exactly what he thinks about his treatment of his sister.
I absolutely loved Lamar, even when he was being a total jerk, he was direct. Not only is Michael Genet "Lamar" a good actor, he wrote the movie "Talk To Me" that starred Don Cheadle. I was glad they used Lamar for a while as more than just Jess's brother, but I wish they'd used him even more.
The guy who played Lamar was a good actor. It's too bad they didn't bring him back when they had his son (wasn't it his son?) Dallas in. Then again they only used Dallas in the barest of token roles.
