Now that I'm older (61) I wish I would have paid more attention to this music and the artists who played it, i.e. of course Tito but also Mongo Santamaria, Willie Bobo and all the others. This is great stuff!!!

Guys, just for the record, Tito Puente was Puertorican, but he mostly played Cuban music such as this one which was composed by Cachao a famous Cuban musician which recently passed away and was also the creator of the rythim called Mambo. In my opinion Tito was the best timbalero in the world!!!. RIP Tito

Quite frankly, this blows away Carlos Santana's version. THIS is the way it was meant to be played---Tito Puente was no doubt the king of Latin rhythm!!
