The second episode in the series where I take the most popular questions that I receive and answer them in a video. I have several tutorials on cues that puppies should be taught and they address a lot of questions not answered in this video. I recently organised them all into one playlist, found here:

A BIG thanks to everyone that subscribes, comments, favorites & likes my videos. It is this positive support that motivates me to make more. If you have sent me a message and I haven't replied back yet, I will try my best to catch up and respond as soon as possible. Thank you for being patient!

  • I've got another training question for you... I'd like to possibly train my GSD to bark on command with "speak." My only worry is that if I do teach him, he'll become a chronic barker and I don't want that... currently he's very quiet and makes little whining sounds every now and then. Do you think he'd bark all the time if I taught him speak? Also, I have no idea how to teach him... he never barks so I can't ever capture the command for him.

  • @crypticprowler Usually when we teach a cue to bark, we also teach a cue to be quiet and associate a reward with it. However, it will encourage some dogs to be more vocal since it is a behavior that they are being rewarded for. I just wouldn't recommend over-doing it. In the end, it's your decision.

  • Great Video! I might be getting an Australian puppy for Christmas:) Do you think you could do a video with your dog and all the tricks she can do?

  • @LuvPinkTwizzler I've already got a video with many of her tricks. I might make a new one eventually.

  • Great video once again! :)

Your new place seems so great! Is the fenced grass area that you were playing at, an area for dogs? It looks like a great place to train around distractions with all those people and cars passing!

  • @Suffix95 There's definitely a lot of distractions, but it is not an area designated for dogs.

  • can you please do a q&a video again soon? I found this one very helpful. Also, what would be the best age to begin clicker training? I am hopefully going to adopt a little german shepard soon and I was wondering if an average but not tiny garden would be suitable for such a dog? I would be however be bringing him on long daily walks.

  • You're brilliant. How did you learn so much about training dogs? I have wondered if someone could teach their dog to howl by queing with something like, "where's the moon?", "Cheer", or "give your people a shout!" I have never seen nor heard of a dog that does this, but I have no interest in merely training them to bark on command because I think it can create an annoying habit.

  • Thanks for the video. I got some questions too.

When do you start with the clicker? Is the clicker fading out with the exercises? I am not sure if I find the clicking all the time annoying or my neighbors.

If I teach a dog for exsample to sit on vocal command, can I do it also with a gesture of hand. I read once that you should not do both, but I am not sure if it was ment both at the same time or in general both commands.

  • Do u recommend any type of food for my 2month owe puppy?

I feel like I'm over doing it right now trying to throw everythin at him to soon plz help

  • Hey Tab

Can you make a vid about how to train your dog to control their barking? I'd appreciate it if ou could. Thanks!

  • my puppy is 2 months old is that too young to start training her?

  • Today I took my three months old GS Nona for a walk. It was her first time. She did well with the leash, but she moaned all the time, walking and moaning, you know. Is this some of concern? I am very caring with her, I never try to push her...Should I repeat the experience next week or should I wait until she is older?

  • "It is important to remember that here is no such thing as a perfect dog, but only perfect relationships that we can have with our dogs" - Well said.

  • You totally rock dude. Your philosophy of having a good relationship with the dog and throwing the idea of being Alpha over your dog in the bin is great and needs to be accepted all over the globe. Obviously I agree to your philosophy. It is sad to know that there are only a few dog trainers who believe in this issue. The only ppl I know is Zak George (Host of animal planet, Superfetch) and you.
