Because if you would talk about it you'll become under a pressure and you would constantly think about the hiding ones. And that wasn't good.
It had to be so relaxed as possible because it had to look that way for the outsiders.

I'll try to translate it:
This was my desk. Across me sat Bep on the same desk and here next to me sat mister Kleiman.
We sat very close with eachoter.
Behind was also an office and there was mister (koegler?).
During the day we didn't talk much about the hiding ones. Everything just had to go it's course.
