  • There must be something missing in that last figure of the WK set...It is strange that ladies have 8 (whole) bars to move on to the next gent...

  • The dancers were doing it the figure correctly. As with another Kerry dance, the Sliabh Luachra, this Kerry dance also allows the ladies 8 bars to move to the next gent. This is a fast figure, and the dancers need time to catch their breath and get their timing coordinated for the next house.

  • No, no, i didn't mean the dancers weren't doing correctly.. :-)

    They are doing it right...:-) I just think 8 bars is too long :-) and wonder if something isn't missing from that figure.. Like a detail that wasn't passed on...After all.. It's trad...:-)
