Are we related? - DNA Analysis is a first for the iPhone and iPod touch.

This realistic DNA Analysis simulator allows you to receive input from two people who should or could be related.

There are 3 modes;

Am I Adopted? - For kids who've always wondered (or hoped) that they're not living with their real parents.

Can We Date? - Essential for anyone in a relationship who want to make sure they're not dating a long lost cousin.

Paternity Test - For fathers who aren't quite sure if they should be paying all that child support.

After the mode is selected the DNA Scanner reacts to your touch. But you will need two people to touch the scanner at the same time to allow the DNA analysis to occur.

The DNA Analysis machine uses a mixture of nano-technologies and DNA analysis techniques such as restriction fragment length polymorphism and oligonucleotide primers to analyse your DNA. However we can't claim 100% accuracy so you should always consult a qualified professional before making any decisions based on the results.

Good luck! You never know who you might be related to, or not.

  • Just to set the records straight there is NO WAY an iPhone or any other phone for that matter be able to analyse you DNA, first of all because this is way to complicated task for an iPhone but above all because you need to sequence it first. This is as the fringe of misrepresentation. When it will be possible, the applications will go far beyond checking if people are related or not. Which is almost useless unless it aims at determining heritability of diseases.
