I think this is the best song the Allman Brothers ever did. Those chord progressions are fabulous. The "split screen" thing would be great if you ever did it again, but I hear all those chords anyway as if they were implied. Another winner for you, sir! ...... ;>)

Would love to hear you double screen this one with the lead guitar licks like the record...it is such an essential part of the song...although you did a beautiful rendition with just one acoustic!

@TheDparham Yep, part of what makes "Melissa" so moving is that it is a duet with the singer and the lead guitar. Without that lead guitar it's just another mildly pretty song. The chord progression is essential, too, and apparently it's impossible for one player to simulate both guitars on this song. Solo versions are inevitably dissapointing.
All that said, great job here; this is the best solo version of "Melissa" I've heard.
