@kittenvillage He was still around a few years ago doing shows in Phoenix and on the local government channels on TV in 2007. I would imagine if I could find an new instrument with stings on it he does not already own he would show up on my doorstep. (IF) huge if. I think being close to the border helped in his quest for weird stuff to play. The big 10 string classical guitar he had on Wallace and Ladmo is basically a large baritone version of the Charango with the re-entranrt tuning used.

I've met Joe in person, now he does more medieval type music as far as I can tell, but it's funny seeing his past history.
