Really Barubary is the most influencial boss of the game. It's weird, but I don't even think he's evil... and he's in the opening credits and in Ryu's 'dreams or nightmare' all the time. Deathevn is a lazy ass last boss compared not to mention not as hard as the Barubary fight overall.
It's all very interesting the way he was used in this game.

The penultimate boss of the game gives considerably less EXP then many enemies weaker then he is. I guess the programmers thought that you'd already be at a level where you thought you could take Deathevn.

I so know how you felt about having your shaman spells taking away after the afinini scene i was so pissed i had to go back to the slow flying fucking town too. But really good gameplay on this game, you play like me ,you level the shit out of your characters. good job. one thing take advantage of bleu and nina next time their really hidden heavy hitters if you level them up enough

You could get another LifeBR, but it's not worth it. You'd have to fight P.Dragons in one of the rooms after Barubary. It's a rare drop.

The treasure Barubary was talking about is the LifeBR. It gives Death spell protection and HP regeneration out of battle. To get it, you have to face right from where you fought Barubary, smash an invisible rock with Katt unshamanized, then stretch across an invisible gap with Sten unshamanized.
