Figures they would just hand over the whole of Polynesia to the Hawaiians, like they're the only ones out there in the Pacific and the rest of us don't count.

@RagingSoldier Correction- Native Hawaiians ARE Polynesian, but they are only ONE Polynesian civilization. There exist about thirty to forty other nations that can be considered Polynesian based upon their language and cultural similarities and where they lie in the Pacific.

@Bananianiown Hey, I would too. Granted, I'm not Polynesian, so it doesn't click the same for me as it does for you, but it be more realistic. It's the same situation for the Native American Civ. Like all those tribes enjoy being lumped together with Sioux or the Iroquois or the Aztecs.

@Bananianiown Well, they couldn't very well account for every single Polynesian civilization. The developers ever only include major civilizations of history and everybody else who doesn't fall under the classification of major is lumped together with whoever happens to be the most well-known in their region of the world. In any case, the very least they could have done was changed the name to Hawaii.

@fredmacification That was after he conquered all of the Hawaiian islands and settled to make the hawaiian kingdom which was modeled after the europeans.
