C-17 Globemaster III Departure
C-130 Hercules Takeoff
2008 NAS Oceana Airshow
NAS Oceana, Virginia
Sunday September 21, 2008
IN THIS VIDEO, watch as the C-17 departs NAS Oceana for its home base of March ARB in California and a Wyoming ANG C-130 Hercules takes off to take part in the parachute jump later on in the day. The videos from Friday and Saturday were pretty bad because of the winds, but they weren't as bad on Sunday, as you can tell in this video.
Like what you've seen? Well, if you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .

Yeah it has new engines, new flight deck new everything. The improvements are so good that it kicks the old models right out of the air.

the J model has awesome improvements to the cargo & flight compartment. It also uses 3 bladed props compared to the 4 bladed on the regular hercs

Common Joke is that when your driving down the road and you see three C-5's all up on jacks,.... it just means they ran out of jacks
