@bluefranswa Thanks. It's not overkill if you have two rings and prefer the quality/characteristics of that light; having said that, you have more flexibility using a standard head with a choice of light modifiers to fill any shadow (beauty dish, 7" reflector, grids, soft box...).
Thanks! I usually use a ring light off camera when I'm outdoors or regular heads with grids indoors. For this shoot, the ring light off camera has the effect of a broad gridded light; like 50 degrees.

this is awesome...[question] is it overkill to use 2 ring flashes on stands one to eliminate back shadows and one pointed at the subject??
