http://www.DadLabs.com - Daddy Clay and Daddy Owen ask their panel of parenting experts about the family dinner, Do you sit down and have meals with your family every night? And if so, how do these moms and dads pull it off? Some suggestions from the panel of parents include: try family lunches, turn off the TV, call in some help, get the kids involved with cooking the food, order in and most certainly make the meal fun. DadLabs Ep. 270 The Lounge. This video was brought to you by BabyBjorn.

  • family dinners will not be a problem if you dine out!

  • i love those guys

  • lol. 7 oclock. thursday. im in a bar. do u think we have family dinners? ahahah

  • The trick to a family meal? Cook good, wholesome food. Fun food where the kids can eat with their fingers works, or messy food like spaghetti.

  • lmao lay off the booze

  • also...equate broccoli to money saved for their favorite toy. So, every broccoli floret eaten is a nickel into the xbox 360 fund...know what i mean?

  • Our first step is to turn off the television. If it is on, kids will zone on it and not talk with us.

At least one night a week, one of the kids gets to pick dinner.

another thing we do is only serve milk or water (and we try to keep it to just water) at mealtimes. You just don't want a kid getting all hyped up on the sugar (even natural sugar from juice) or caffeine and water keeps them from filling up on their drink, so they eat better.

  • Meal tricks I'd like to trick myself into making them taste good when I cook!

  • We have family dinner every night together. As a general rule you have to stay at the table until everyone else is finished but otherwise we use the time to talk and share a laugh with the children.

My husband also gives me a break from time to time and will prepare a meal here and there. It's very helpful on those long days spent chasing after 4 children.
