Barbara Hillary became the first African-American woman to reach the North Pole on April 23, 2007. In this segment of her speech from the conference, she offers advice for every woman in accomplishing their goals.

  • My Dear Barbara, If I had known you were going, I would have went with you!!! What a great story of endurance and strength. And at the age of 75!!! WOW. You keep your head up. You will go down on record as the first Black Woman with the heart of a young woman who at the age of 75 reached the North Pole and wasn't eaten by Polar Bears!!! Bravo Barbara, Carol
