Yeah i got one like this. It's 900gb and i put almost 2000 songs. And i have not even scratch the surfice on the memory.

oh sorry and my hard drive is terrabyte, from target for around 90. came to around 115 with tax

Got the same drive almost mine is the 1 tb version only problem I've had is with the power supply which failed but since then has been replaced I also have a newer drive which is 2 tb

Quick question guys. Is it safe to buy an external hard drive off online like craigslist? I am nervous that the seller may be somehow tracking information from the hard drive since I am connected to the internet while the hard drive is connected. It may be dumb but yeah he coudl've installed some kind of hacking program. Thanks for your reply!

@jromero951 what you can do is just reformat the whole hard drive as soon as you hook it up to your computer.

Folks,
I need some help, I wish to buy external hard drive for my laptop. WHat i find is that 3.5'' has more space than 2.5'' ones. Also, 3.5'' are cheaper that 2.5'' for same storage size.
My question is, Can i use the external hard drive 3.5'' with my laptop ?

@tamanna84 yes you can use the 3.5 for your laptop cuz external hard drives are just basically gigantic flash drives. The only difference between a 3.5 and a 2.5 external is that the 3.5 requires that you plug the power into the wall, while the 2.5 u dont need to plug it into the wall cuz it is powered by the computer when you plug the usb cable to your computer.
