1994 LT1 Firebird Formula dyno. Put down 333.3hp and 351 torque SAE corrected. Thats about all there is in the car, because I have to pass CA smog. Car was running pig rich so there is definitely 15-20 more horsepower left in it. Dyno was done on the dyno day during Los Angeles Invasion car meet 2008 at Haddad Motorsports on a Dynapack dyno. Tune was done by PCMforless.com
Mods are:
- GM Performance Parts LT1 Hotcam Kit
- GMPP Hotcam 218 / 228, .525 / .525 112 LSA
- GMPP 1.6 roller rockers
- GMPP valvesprings
- Comp hardened pushrods
- K&N 4" custom CAI
- Pacesetter midlength headers
- 3" Flowmaster catback
- Magnaflow hi flow cat
- QTP electric cutout
- CSR electric waterpump
- Taylor 8mm wires
- Throttle body bypass
- LT4 knock module

  • did the car have ported heads ???

  • @DACTIV3x stock untouched heads, besides the valve springs and 1.6 RRs that came with the Hotcam kit.

  • was that to the wheels ???

  • @DACTIV3x yes

  • does the LT1 Throttle Body Bypass kit actually work?

  • @captinsavenohoes Couldn't say for sure, it's supposed to be good for a few horsepower, 5-10hp at the most. It takes away the hot coolant running through the throttle body, which in theory is slightly colder air and more hp.

  • @captinsavenohoes I didnt dyno mine after doing tit, but it felt just a tad bit snappier in throttle response

  • @captinsavenohoes and @kjecrew Ware can I get that tb bypass kit at?

  • i've got a 93z28 with k&n filter, msd pro-billet optispark, offroad y-pipe, high flow cat and cat back exhaust (custom 3" exhaust). the next logical step is a cam but i'm gonna wait till after i finish my amx to start anything serious with the camaro. the amx is faster anyway, even with its 304. the amx is also 450lbs less the z28 (2800 +/- vs 3380lbs w/ the z28)

  • The problem with w gm847 cam is its max power is around 6,200-6,400 rpm. That is going to do some serious damage to a stock block.

  • there is nothing wrong with the lt4 hocam... but like anything you will want more. to anybody that is going to cam there lt1 unless you get a custom grind i would recomend the gm 847 or the cc503. these cams sound bad as hell with a good tune
